Counselling in Cambridgeshire – help with depression
sad weeping sky

Are you looking for help with depression? Are you based in Cambridgeshire?

Depression is a state of low mood which can affect a person's thoughts, behaviour, feelings and physical well-being. The difference between feeling low or fed up and being depressed is the length of time that the low mood lasts for. If your low mood lasts for more than 2 weeks, then you may need some help to feel better.

Signs of depression include when:-

  • you are feeling sad, anxious, empty, hopeless, helpless, worthless, irritable
  • you lose interest in activities that once were pleasurable
  • you experience overeating or loss of appetite
  • you have problems with concentration, remembering details or making decisions
  • you may feel suicidal. If you are feeling suicidal, please contact your GP or the Samaritans for immediate help.

The ‘A Problem Shared’ counselling service can help you to deal with depression:-

  • By listening to how you are feeling
  • By helping you to explore how you can recover from depression
  • This can lead to you understanding your depression and preventing it from recurring.
